Plasticisers are softening agents. When added, to a material, usually a plastic, makes it flexible, resilient and easy to handle. These are additives which help in increasing the plasticity or fluidity of a material. They are also known as chemical substances, useful in softening PVC. When blended mediums (including plasticisers) are mixed with each other, the properties of the final product are also enhanced. They are also known as vinyls having applications in cables, floors and wall coverings.
Plasticizers – Various – DBP, DOTP, DINP, DPGDB, DEGDB, etc
Specialty Plasticisers – Di Propylene Glycol Di Benzoate (DPGDB) and Di Ethylene Glycol Di Benzoate (DEGDB)
